A video currently trending online has sparked reactions after a Nigerian lady called out the high cost of rent in Lagos.
In the video, she talked about how some landlords build houses and describe them as “Lekki standard,” then go ahead to charge as high as ₦2.5 million per year.
She also pointed out something that got many people talking some landlords still place restrictions on tenants despite the high rent.
According to her, the big question is how many Nigerians earning normal salaries can afford such amount in today’s economy.
The issue of rising rent in areas like Lekki has been a growing concern, with many residents complaining about affordability.
