A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor, has dismissed claims that Governor Monday Okpebholo secured a $250 million investment deal during his recent trip abroad.

In a statement shared online, Ifaluyi-Isibor alleged that the governor and his aides were in Scotland for vacation, not for official investment purposes.

“There was no $250 million investment deal; Governor Okpebholo and his aides were in Scotland for vacation,” he stated.

The remark has since stirred debate among political observers, with supporters of the governor defending the trip as part of broader engagements to attract foreign partnerships to Edo State.
