Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, has accused the Edo State Government and state security agencies of negligence following their alleged failure to assist in the rescue of kidnap victims.

In a statement shared on his verified Instagram page (@harrison_gwamnishu), the activist expressed frustration over what he described as “repeated failure” of state authorities to respond during a critical operation to apprehend suspected kidnappers.

“Our team was unable to move in and apprehend the abductors due to the repeated failure of the State Security Agencies and the Edo State Government to respond to our calls,” — Harrison Gwamnishu stated.

He emphasized that timely collaboration could have saved the victims and led to the capture of the culprits, calling on the government to take security and emergency response more seriously.

The post has since sparked conversations online, with many Edo residents echoing concerns about rising insecurity and slow response from authorities.

Gwamnishu, known for his activism and rescue missions, urged citizens to remain vigilant while demanding accountability from those in power.
