Edo State — The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Jarret Tenebe, has stirred controversy with his recent remarks describing party loyalists as “zombies with no sense” while pledging massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

In a video circulating online, Tenebe passionately addressed party members during a recent rally, emphasizing unwavering loyalty to the APC and the President. According to the party chairman, APC supporters in Edo are fully committed to delivering victory to Tinubu in the next general election.

“We are zombies, we have no sense. We will follow our leader anywhere he goes,” Tenebe reportedly said, reaffirming his determination to ensure that Edo State contributes 3.5 million votes to Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The statement has sparked mixed reactions across social media, with critics accusing the APC chairman of making an embarrassing admission, while supporters describe the comment as a metaphor for absolute loyalty and discipline within the party.

Observers note that Tenebe’s bold declaration comes amid growing political realignments in Edo State ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The APC is reportedly working to reclaim the state from the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

As the political climate heats up, Tenebe’s remarks continue to trend online, with many Nigerians debating the boundaries between party loyalty and blind allegiance.
