BENIN CITY – The newly inaugurated Edo State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Dr. Felix Akhabue, has pledged his full support for Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo’s SHINE Agenda, describing it as a visionary roadmap for sustainable development and improved quality of life across the state.

Dr. Akhabue made the remarks when he officially assumed office at the Ministry of Works, Benin City, commending the Governor for the confidence reposed in him through his appointment.

He emphasized that the SHINE Agenda—which focuses on Sustainable Infrastructure, Human Capital Development, Innovation, New Partnerships, and Economic Growth—represents a comprehensive blueprint to reposition Edo State for inclusive progress.

“I want to sincerely thank His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for giving me the opportunity to serve. The SHINE Agenda provides a clear direction toward infrastructural renewal and social transformation. My team and I are committed to delivering quality projects that reflect the Governor’s vision for a modern and prosperous Edo State,” Dr. Akhabue stated.

He assured that the Ministry under his leadership will prioritize transparency, efficiency, and accountability in all project implementations to ensure maximum impact on communities across the state.

Reporting for ITV, Pius Nsogho noted that the Commissioner’s assumption of duty was greeted with goodwill messages from staff and stakeholders who expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver results.
