Uhunmwonde, Edo State – His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, has carried out an inspection tour of newly constructed roads in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area, highlighting the state government’s commitment to improving infrastructure across Edo State.

The tour included a visit to the village of former Governor Godwin Obaseki, where the road has now been fully tarred and completed, marking a major milestone in enhancing connectivity and transportation for local communities.

Governor Okpebholo, during the tour, expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and reiterated the administration’s pledge to continue investing in critical road infrastructure to boost socio-economic activities, ease movement, and support rural development.

“We are committed to ensuring that Edo communities have access to well-constructed roads. This project in Uhunmwonde is part of our ongoing efforts to improve transportation networks and open up our rural areas for growth,” the Governor said.

The completion of the tarred road is expected to stimulate economic activities in the area, making it easier for farmers, traders, and residents to access markets and essential services.
