National Coordinator of the Coalition for Tinubu-Okpebholo-Nigeria, Precious M. Topa, has unveiled plans to mobilise students of Edo State origin in tertiary institutions nationwide to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
Topa said the initiative aims to complement Governor Monday Okpebholo’s pledge to deliver 2.5 million votes for the president in the upcoming election.
He announced the drive on Monday at the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, during a meeting with the coalition’s newly appointed canvassers.
Addressing the group, Topa urged canvassers to demonstrate commitment and diligence, charging them to engage every corner of their respective campuses to secure student support.
He said the mobilisation drive was a gesture of appreciation for the Tinubu administration’s policies, specifically the student loan initiative, which he described as a landmark intervention in the education sector.
“The combination of federal and state-level interventions provides a compelling case for continuity,” he said, as he praised Okpebholo’s infrastructure projects across the state.
He noted that these developments were key to winning over young voters and urged the canvassers to act as ambassadors, ensuring the coalition’s message of continuity resonates across Nigerian campuses.
