A chairmanship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his visionary leadership and commitment to infrastructure development, particularly the ongoing landmark flyover project in Benin City.
Speaking during an inspection visit to the project site, the aspirant described the flyover as “a bold and transformative initiative that will redefine urban mobility in Edo State.”
He noted that the governor’s decision to embark on such a capital-intensive project demonstrates genuine concern for the welfare of Edo citizens and a long-term vision for economic growth.
“Governor Okpebholo is setting a new standard for governance in Edo. The flyover project is not just about easing traffic; it is about opening up new corridors of development and attracting investors. This is the kind of leadership our state needs,” he said.
The aspirant further expressed confidence that the project, when completed, will reduce travel time, ease congestion at major junctions, and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the state capital.
He urged residents to continue supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and resist distractions from political opponents, assuring that the APC-led government remains focused on delivering people-oriented projects across the state.
“With what we are seeing, Governor Okpebholo is truly rewriting the Edo story. Every local government will soon feel the impact of his infrastructural revolution,” he added.
The flyover, which is expected to be one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the state’s recent history, is already attracting praise from citizens and stakeholders for its potential to transform transportation and commerce in the region.
