EHOR, EDO STATE – In what has been described as a historic and symbolic visit, the Ohen Nukomi, a revered spiritual leader in the Benin Kingdom, alongside elders of the Ehor community, paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Chairman of Uhunmwonde Local Government Area, Hon. Austin Rotimi Imafidon, at the Uhunmwonde Council Secretariat in Ehor.
The visit, held amidst warmth and jubilation, featured special prayers and blessings for the Chairman, his administration, and the continued peace and progress of the council area.
Reporting from Ehor, Ikponmwosa Ugiagbe noted that the spiritual leader commended Hon. Imafidon for his commitment to grassroots development and urged him to uphold the principles of transparency, humility, and fairness in governance.
Hon. Imafidon, in his response, expressed profound gratitude for the visit, describing it as both a blessing and a motivation for greater service.
“I am humbled by this visit from the Ohen Nukomi and our respected elders. Their prayers and blessings mean a great deal to me and my team as we continue to work for the peace and development of Uhunmwonde,” he said.
The event also featured traditional rites, cultural displays, and exchange of goodwill messages between the council officials and community elders — symbolizing unity between traditional and administrative institutions in Uhunmwonde.
