BENIN – Governor Monday Okpeb­holo of Edo has approved a minor reshuffle in the State Executive Council, effective January 30, 2026.

Hon. Gani Audu has been replaced as Chief of Staff by former Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, both from Etsako west LGA.

The duo, who were for­mer chairmen of Etsako West Local Government are known loyalists of former Edo State Governor, Com­rade Adams Oshiomhole.

Audu has been rede­ployed as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, pending confirmation by the Edo State House of As­sembly.

Other changes include Hon. Vincent Osas Uwadi­ae moved from Oil and Gas Resources to Lands and Housing as Commissioner.

The reshuffle aims to strengthen governance, en­hance service delivery, and promote efficiency in state affairs, according to Secre­tary to the State Govern­ment, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

The government is con­fident the adjustments will improve coordination, poli­cy implementation, and gov­ernance in Edo State.
